It's Gear Oil made for transmissions, clutches,gears,shift mechanisms,etc. Not Engine Oil,,made for valve tappets,plain bearing crankshafts,rocker arms,etc. Motor oil is a fine compromise,,zillions of bike transmissions work as they are supposed to while running oil that isn't designed for transmissions.
